About Me – Cafes and Getaways

Hello, I’m Ally! I am a travel writer with a passion for experiencing unique places around the world. Up until my mid-twenties, I had not stepped out of North America. I finally booked my first international trip and was hooked. Since then, my husband and I travel as much as possible during our free time.

Over the years, I have gotten many questions about the places I’ve been and my experiences. I decided to start Cafes and Getaways in 2021 to share my adventures with you. 

Cafes and Getaways focuses on European and North American destinations. As I travel to new destinations, I hope to inspire others to do the same. There is no better feeling than discovering a new city for the first time.

Learning about different cultures through history, language, traditions, and food are just some of the many reasons why I love sharing my experiences with you.
